The Dr. Janice Jordan Excellence In Education Award
The Bethel Education Foundation's Excellence in Education Award recognizes and honors superior educators whose creativity and innovation within the classroom, school, or district have had a significant impact on student performance and achievement and provide an ongoing model of excellence in encouraging all learners and educators to excel. These qualities are all aligned with the Foundation's mission to promote innovation, creativity and excellence in learning for our children and the community.
Educators are nominated by school administrators and teachers. Nomination applications are reviewed by a selection committee comprised of school administrators.
The educator selected for this award will be notified when directors from the BEF, school officials, and colleagues visit the educator unannounced to offer congratulations and two tickets to the Barnum Ball. The winner will also be publicly recognized at Bethel Education Foundation's Annual Barnum Ball and presented with a commemorative plaque and a $500 grant.
Eligibility: Nominee must be an educator currently employed by a public, private, or parochial school in Bethel, CT.
