BETHEL EDUCATION FOUNDATION

Bethel Education Foundation (BEF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Bethel, Connecticut. Since 2008, the Foundation has provided funding for dozens of very special projects which support initiatives for pre-school children, the Bethel Public School District, and Saint Mary School.

Excellence in Education Award The BEF is very excited to introduce the Excellence in Education Award to this year's Barnum Ball. The Excellence in Education Award recognizes and honors superior educators whose creativity and innovation within the classroom, school, or district have had a significant impact on student performance and achievement and provide an ongoing model of excellence in encouraging all learners and educators to excel. These qualities are all aligned with the Foundation's mission to promote innovation, creativity and excellence in learning for our children and the community.

Educators are nominated by school administrators, teachers, colleagues, parents, students and community members. Nomination applications are reviewed by a selection committee comprised of school administrators, teachers, parents and community members.

The educator selected for this award will be notified when directors from the BEF, school officials, and colleagues visit the educator unannounced to offer congratulations and two tickets to the Barnum Ball. The winner will also be publicly recognized at the Bethel Education Foundation's Annual Barnum Ball and presented with a commemorative plaque and a $500 grant.
